Assam: Free Dialysis Unit Opened in Kheroni

Apart from the dialysis unit, a coaching centre was also inaugurated by the CEM.

KERONI: In an attempt to support the medical needs of the people of the region, a dialysis unit was inaugurated on Wednesday in the West Karbi Anglong District of the state.

The Chief Executive Member(CEM) of the Karbi Autonomous Council, Tuliram Ronghang inaugurated the facility and dedicated the same to the public. The 30-bed hospital in Dongkamukam will house this new dialysis unit. People of the region will be able to utilise the newly introduced facilities completely free of charge at this hospital.

Apart from the dialysis unit, a coaching centre was also inaugurated. This institute will provide coaching for the Assam Public Service Commission as well as the Union Public Service Commission without any charges.

Recently, the Chief Executive Member (CEM) of BTC, Pramod Boro saw off the selected candidates who are leaving for New Delhi for free UPSC coaching, at Kokrajhar Railway station and blessed the students. Boro, accompanied by other colleagues, met the students and their parents at the Railway station and talked to them about the initiative of the Education department of BTC for the students pursuing higher education in technical, medical and other categories. He said he was delighted to see off 50 candidates at Kokrajhar Railway Station who are leaving for free coaching for UPSC in New Delhi. He extended his best wishes to them and hoped that they all will achieve great success in their endeavours.

The Bodofa UN Brahma Super 50 Mission (Civil Services) was a flagship initiative of the government of BTC which aimed at providing free residential coaching for UPSC/APSC aspirants from BTR. The council government has also BTC Super-50 for Engineering and Medical aspirants who are also being given free residential coaching for eleven months in Guwahati and Kokrajhar.
