HOWRAGHAT: A minor girl aged 14 years drowned in a reservoir of the Irrigation department while attempting to save the life of her sibling who was in the pool taking a bath.
The incident took place in Dillai, around 45 kilometres from Diphu, under the Dillai police station. Serlibon Engtipi, while taking a bath, noticed that one of her younger sisters was in danger and was drowning. Without caring for her life, Serlibon dived into the deep water to save her sister. But she drowned after saving her sister’s life.
