GUWAHATI: Assam Girl Surabhi Das, has been roped in to play a significant role in a new show on Colors TV named 'Nima Denzongpa', a series based on a story of a girl in the Northeast region of India.
According to the trailer 'Nima Denzongpa' is an inspiring, intriguing and realistic life story of a girl who hails from Sikkim.
Surabhi is playing the character of 'Nima Denzongpa' in the series. Previously, she was seen in the Assamese serial 'Parineeta'.
The series will be aired on the channel as well as on the over-the-top (OTT) platform Voot.
The story of Nima Denzongpa serial revolves around a girl (Nima) from India's northeast part i.e. Sikkim who gets shifted to Mumbai with her love.
Surabhi Das rose to fame from her role in the Assamese series 'Parineeta.' The show was a great success, and she is well-known as an extrovert and an ambitious one.
In Mumbai, she will face discrimination, troll, and struggle as she hails from North East India. Nima will conquer all these challenges and answers them that she is also an Indian.
Taking to Instagram, Surabhi Das talked a little about her upcoming series and also shared the promo.
