GOLAGHAT: Acting on a secret information, Golaghat police seized 67.32 grams of heroin from an Alto vehicle on Tuesday evening.
A special naka was set up at Numaligarh led by Additional SP (Crime) with OC of Golaghat and Numaligarh Rural PS, SI(P) Barasha Deuri and other police personnel. During operation, one Alto Vehicle bearing registration No. AS-21M/4685 was intercepted, which was coming from Dimapur and after thorough search, 5 soap boxes with heroin weighing 67.32 grams were seized. In this connection, three persons apprehended. All three drug peddlers are from Morigaon district. Further interrogation is going on to find out linkages. A case is being registered.
