GUWAHATI: A tragic episode came to light from the Golaghat police department where the Superintendent of Police's Personal Security Officer (PSO) was discovered hanging inside the confines of his Golaghat quarter on Wednesday.

Rakesh Rai was the police constable who passed away. Although the exact reason for the occurrence is still unknown, it has been speculated that he may have killed himself.

For a post-mortem examination, the body was transported to Shaheed Kushal Konwar Civil Hospital in Golaghat.

Three days prior to the incident, a senior police officer was discovered hanging at a battalion camp in the Cachar area of Assam. In the Kathal neighbourhood of Cachar, the constable, Biplab Chakraborty, was discovered in a room in the 6th Assam Police Battalion camp.

When they discovered a body hanging in the room, Chakraborty's coworkers alerted higher authorities, who then notified the police. When the police arrived at the camp, they found the soldier's body.

A post-mortem investigation of the constable's body was requested at Silchar Medical College and Hospital (SMCH). The cause of the constable's death is still under investigation by the police, who are still looking into both instances.

Earlier, a jawan shot himself in the head with his service pistol in the Tinsukia district. According to sources, Ashok, a jawan, committed suicide in his room while employed at Doom Dooma ARC.

Why the soldier went to such extremes as to shoot himself within the camp is still a mystery. The jawan's body was brought to Tinsukia Common Medical Clinic for an autopsy.

A Mizoram Police constable fatally shot two of his on-duty coworkers in a shocking event. The event reportedly happened on 5 March, Sunday night in the Buarchep oil palm camp, which is located near the boundary between Assam and Mizoram.

The accused has been identified as Bimal Kanti Chakma. Indra Kumar Rai and J. Lalrohlua were the two officers who passed away.

According to authorities, the alleged offender, Bimal Kanti Chakma, got into a fight with Lalrohlua and Indra Kumar for unexplained reasons while allegedly intoxicated. The heated dispute got so out of hand that Chakma pulled out his revolver and started shooting at the pair.

Chakma allegedly fired a lot of shots at the pair. Lalrohlua passed away right away after the shooting. Indra Kumar, who had suffered severe injuries, passed away as he was being transported to a neighbouring hospital.
