HAFLONG: Governor Gulab Chand Kataria will be on a two-day visit to Haflong on August 9 and August 10 for review meeting with the departments as well as the council members. The Governor will hold meeting at Circuit House, at Dima Hasao Autonomous Council, meeting the apex bodies etc. Later he will also attend a programme at Amphitheatre, District Library Auditorium.
On August 10, the Governor will unveil the statue of Dr BR Ambedkar in front the Dima Hasao Autonomous Council and also visit Dilaobra Shangibra Samathuraoni Nohdrang construction site, Haflong Civil Hospital and Jatinga. People of Haflong in particular and of Dima Hasao in general are prepared to accord a rousing welcome to the Governor. People are of the opinion that the visit of Governor will usher in a new form of development in the district. They also termed the Governor’s visit to Haflong as a boon for the people and the place.
