Assam Govt Organises Brainstorming Chintan Shivir From Today

The three- day Chintan Shivir or 'brainstorming session' will be held at Kaziranga's Borgos Resort.

GUWAHATI: The Assam government is embarking on a Chintan Shivir from Saturday in Kaziranga for its ministers and senior officials to discuss various issues and map out a future course of action.

The Borgos Resort at Kaziranga will be the venue of the three- day Chintan Shivir or 'brainstorming session'.

All ministers, MLAs of BJP and its ally parties in government would likely to attend the Chintan Shivir, along with senior officials of different departments.

During the session, achievements of the state government till now are likely to be evaluated and a road map for the future drawn up to remedy any outstanding issues plaguing the delivery mechanism for the state's development.

During the brainstorming session, the state government will discuss the ongoing activities of the departments. The plans and roadmap of the departments for the next five years are likely to be prepared in the 'shivir'.

The three- day meet is also likely to review the preparations for the 2024 Lok Sabha elections.

Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma is scheduled to attend the inaugural function of the Chintan Shivir at around 2 pm.

Sri Sri Ravi Shankar of the Art of Living and Sadhguru will take part in the Chintan Shivir and deliver sermons during the first two days.

Sadhguru will take part in the Chintan Shivir today and Sri Sri Ravi Shankar of the Art of Living will take part on September 25.

The decision to hold the three-day camp was taken in a cabinet meeting chaired by the Chief Minister in August this year.

Such Chintan Shivirs are held quite often nowadays, by the BJP as well as the Congress. The BJP started its two-day Chintan Baithak on the outskirts of Ahmedabad on May 16 with a focus on the forthcoming assembly elections in Gujarat in December 2022. Earlier, the Congress had organised a Chintan Shivir in Udaipur, Rajasthan.

The meeting was attended by Union Home Minister Amit Shah, party national general secretary BL Santosh, Gujarat co-in charge Sudhir Gupta apart from all senior leaders of the party's state unit to map out its strategy for the forthcoming Assembly polls there.
