Assam Govt takes Major Key Decisions in Cabinet Meeting

The government has taken some major key decisions today in the cabinet meeting in Guwahati

GUWAHATI: The Assam government has taken some major key decisions today in the cabinet meeting in Guwahati held under the chairmanship of Chief Minister Dr Himanta Biswa Sarma. Along with the CM, Assam Education Minister Ranoj Pegu took a major decision for the Teacher Eligibility Test (TET) qualified candidates of Assam.

Pegu posted a tweet mentioning about TET qualified candidates.

Here are the decisions taken in the cabinet meeting:

• The government events will begin with the state Anthem 'O Mur Apunar Dekh' and will end with National Anthem.

• Hand-woven Gamosas have to be used in all government events and programmes.

• Regional foods have to be served at government events and programmes.

• The death anniversary of Tarun Ram Phookan will be considered as 'Desh Bhakta' Divas.

• The death anniversary of Gopinath Bordoloi will be considered as 'Workers Day' five workers from each state will be felicitated and ten workers will be congratulated at the state level.

• The guardian ministers will remain for three days at their respective districts in which complete lockdown has been imposed.

• The TET qualification certificate will be substantial for a lifetime rather than 7 years, however, the retirement age will be relevant.

• Salaries will be deducted if a worker will not give NOC endorsement. The representatives should give NOC certificate by paying the electricity bill till July.

• The NOC will be relevant from the month of July.
