TINSUKIA: A grenade blast near Dirak Army camp under Kakopathar PS in Tinsukia district on Wednesday night created panic among the local residents. According to reports, 2 motorcycle borne youths lobbed a grenade targeting the Army camp but it hit the protective net and bounced back to the courtyard of one Konteswar Chetia who resides next to Army camp where it exploded. According to Tinsukia SP Abhijit Gurav who reached the spot soon after said that no one was injured but suspected the handiwork of ULFA militants. The security forces launched a massive hunt to nab the culprits.
