GUWAHATI: According to sources, the High School Leaving Certificate (HSLC) Mathematics question papers were leaked in the Cachar district of Assam on March 6.

According to the sources, the paper went viral on the second day of the HSLC exam within the first 15 minutes of the mathematics exam.

A few images of the question paper also gained popularity on social media, and it is believed that the document was stolen from a Lakhipur test centre.

The Cachar Education Department has not yet responded to the paper leak event, nevertheless.

It is important to note that on the first day of the exam, there were rumours that the Barpeta district had leaked the English question paper.

Narnarayan Nath, the SEBA secretary and exam controller, spoke on the matter and denied the allegations, labelling media reporting on the subject as incorrect and unfounded.

Up to 4,23,000 pupils from all over the state will take the HSLC exams.

Every year, SEBA administers the HSLC exams in Assam, which correspond to the CBSE 10th standard board exams.

The National Education Policy's criteria are being followed as the HSLC 2023 exams are being administered (NEP).

In response, SEBA has also altered four key subjects for the HSLC tests starting today. According to rumours, SEBA has altered the HSLC exam's math, general science, English, and social science topics.

According to the updated NEP rules, the HSLC exam will henceforth include two answer sheets for these four subjects.

Eight pages of objective questions will make up the first answer sheet, while sixteen pages of descriptive questions will make up the second answer sheet.

This year, there will be 912 exam locations used for the HSLC exams, which will start on March 3 and end on March 20.
