Assam: Illegal liquor seized in northern part of Sootea

Acting on a tip off, a team of Excise department, Biswanath, headed by Excise Inspector Pradip Kr Bodo along with excise officials Parvesh Mili, Koushik Bora and Rakesh Biswakarma managed to seize 12 cartons of Arunachal Pradesh-made beer and 5 cartons of Arunachal Pradesh-made liquor from the householders of Nagda and Dekorai area on the northern part of Sootea,

JAMUGURIHAT:  Acting on a tip off, a team of Excise department, Biswanath, headed by Excise Inspector Pradip Kr Bodo along with excise officials Parvesh Mili, Koushik Bora and Rakesh Biswakarma managed to seize 12 cartons of Arunachal Pradesh-made beer and 5 cartons of Arunachal Pradesh-made liquor from the householders of Nagda and Dekorai area on the northern part of Sootea which share boundary with neighbouring state Arunachal Pradesh on Saturday. It is to be mentioned here that the northern part of the greater Sootea area has become a hotspot of illegal liquor trading, drug smuggling and anti-social activities at present.

The conscious people of the area have appealed to the district administration to take strict and spectacular action against such anti-social elements which have become proactive at present.
