TANGLA: In a bid to vaccinate all drop out and left out children of 0-5 years of age and pregnant women, the first round of Intensive Mission Indradhanush 5.0 will start from August 7 to August 12 in Udalguri district. According to official statistics during the first phase, 238 sessions will be held in the three health blocks of Udalguri district to vaccinate 2,352 children and 415 pregnant women. Within this target, 1,639 children are of 0-2 years of age, and 713 are of 2-5 years of age. Sources added that around 317 health workers will be engaged in this mission to vaccinate the children with lifesaving vaccination.
On July 12, the first District Task Force meeting was chaired by Udalguri District Commissioner Dr Sadnek Singh wherein the action plan was finalized and head count survey was conducted through field-level workers and completed prior to finalization of action plan to assess the actual target. Pertinently in this mission, the U-Win portal will be launched to digitalize the routine immunization activities. Through this portal, facility managers can create session like Co-Win portal. The second round of IMI will be conducted from September 11 to September 16 and subsequently the third round will be held from October 9 to October 14.
