Guwahati: As for the first time in two years, no COVID cases were reported, the Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma has said that the state is no longer under COVID threat.
Both on Thursday and Friday, zero COVID-19 cases were reported in the state for the first time in two years.
Sarma further asserted that life has tuned back to complete normalcy in the state.
A total of 1,458 tests were conducted in the state on Friday, of which no positive case of the infection was reported. The Covid death was nil on both days.
Health Minister Keshab Mahanta also greeted doctors, nurses and all other health workers for their relentless efforts to beat the virus
Presently, the state recovery rate is 98.89 per cent.
