Assam: Lecture on social behaviour of students and responsibility held

LAKHIMPUR: The 7th event of the series of lectures, initiated by the Telahi-Kamalaboria Senior Citizens Association (Jyeshtha Nagarik Sanmilan) of Lakhimpur district, was organised at Telahi Tuwaram Nath College on Saturday. The event commenced with Nila Chutia, the president of the senior citizens’ body, in the chair. It began with a chorus song presented by the students of the college. On the other hand, the secretary of the senior citizens’ body, Dambaru Nath, explained the objective of the programme.

The event was inaugurated by Jiten Dutta, the president of the College Management and Development Committee. Dr. Dikshita Bhuyan, Professor of English at Madhavadev University, graced the occasion as a resource person. She delivered the lecture on “Social Behaviour of the Students and Their esponsibility.” She also took part in an interactive session with the students on the designated topic by replying to their various queries. From the chair, Nila Chutia said that the senior citizens’ body had been serially conducting the lecture events in view of the physical, mental, moral, and spiritual wellbeing of the youths and the upcoming generations. A felicitation programme was also organised in connection with the event, which concluded with the presentation of the National Anthem.
