Assam Legislative Assembly Speaker Biswajit Daimary visits Kokrajhar

A special assembly session of the Assam Legislative Assembly will be held in BTR headquarters in Kokrajhar. Preparations are underway at BTC Assembly to hold the Assam Assembly session where a total of 126 MLAs from Assam are scheduled to participate at BTC assembly to be held in the last part of this year.

KOKRAJHAR: A special assembly session of the Assam Legislative Assembly will be held in BTR headquarters in Kokrajhar. Preparations are underway at BTC Assembly to hold the Assam Assembly session where a total of 126 MLAs from Assam are scheduled to participate at BTC assembly to be held in the last part of this year.

Assam Legislative Assembly Speaker Biswajit Daimary on Monday visited Kokrajhar and inspected the BTC Legislative Assembly building for restructuring of the Assembly sitting arrangement. An important meeting in this regard was also held in the presence of BTC chief Pramod Boro, BTC Legislative Council Chairman Katiram Boro.

Assam Assembly Speaker Biswajit Daimary told reporters that the Assam government has taken the decision to held the State Assembly at BTC Assembly, Bodofa Nwgwr in Kokrajhar with the aim of informing the State about the Assam Legislative Assembly and bringing awareness to the state.

BTC Chief Executive Member Pramod Boro welcomed the move of holding the State assembly in BTC Assembly. He said the BTR administration will extend full cooperation to hold the Cabinet meeting smoothly.
