Assam: Lumding Division hosted a security review meet on Republic Day celebration

For ensuring the safety and security of railway passengers and their belongings as well as the other railway properties during the celebration of upcoming Republic Day, the Lumding Division hosted a divisional crime review meeting on Thursday at Lumding. The meeting was chaired by Abhishek Kumar, IRPFS.

NAGAON: For ensuring the safety and security of railway passengers and their belongings as well as the other railway properties during the celebration of upcoming Republic Day, the Lumding Division hosted a divisional crime review meeting on Thursday at Lumding. The meeting was chaired by Abhishek Kumar, IRPFS. During the meeting, the stakeholders concerned scrutinized as well as reviewed the current crime trends and formulated proactive strategies to enhance railway properties and passengers’ safety over the railway.

Chief security commissioner Abhishek Kumar highlighted the importance of collaborative efforts among various agencies to combat crime effectively. The stakeholders concerned shared their views on emerging challenges and other insights on recent criminal activities over the running trains, railway areas and also tabled innovative solutions to tackle them in reference to the recent Balasore (Odisha) train accident. All the divisional as well as branch RPF officers, RPF post commanders of Lumding Railway Division were present in the review meeting.
