BONGAIGAON: In a pathetic incident on Monday night at Bongaigaon, a man stabbed his drunken son. As per police sources Golok Barua (38) , the deceased, who is a resident of Nagaria village under Bongaigaon PS, was a habitual drinker and frequently picks up fights for trivial issues. “Similarly on Monday night, he again came home drunken and started bickering with his father Karuna Baruah. In a fit of rage, Golok tried to murder his father. But at that instant, Karuna Baruah stabbed Golok in his head and neck with a sharp weapon and Golok died on the spot,” the sources mentioned.
Later, police arrived at the spot and arrested Karuna Baruah. Talking to press Ajay Saha, OC of Bongaigaon Police Station said that police had already registered the case and sent the body for postmortem. Investigation is on.
