Assam: Man Mercilessly Kills Elder Brother in Mariani

Some claim that the event occurred at a tea estate in Mariani when the younger brother fatally hacked his older sibling with a sharp object.

GUWAHATI: According to reports that surfaced on Saturday, a man was brutally killed by his own younger brother in Assam's Mariani. 

Some claim that the event occurred at a tea estate in Mariani when the younger brother fatally hacked his older sibling with a sharp object. The culprit has been named as Karthik Karmakar, who used a machete to attack his brother, Bobai Karmakar, following a violent disagreement. 

A police crew arrived at the scene this morning and removed the body. After discovering the body, the police started an investigation and detained Karthik Karmakar in connection with the heinous crime.

As per reports that surfaced on Thursday, a woman killed her husband at their own residence in Bajali, Assam, using a sharp object. Sources claim that the incident took place the night before, when the wife fatally killed her husband, Niranjan Bora, out of rage after a family argument. 

After perpetrating the crime, Junita Bora, the accused, and her 6-year-old daughter went to Bhawanipur Police Station and turned themselves in to the authorities.As soon as they got to the crime scene to begin their investigation, the police filed an FIR in relation to the incident. 

The couple had been residing in their in-laws' home in Bajali for the previous ten years since their marriage. Niranjan Bora was a resident of Golaghat. There is unrest in the village as a result of the incident. 

On March 24, a young man in Karimganj killed an 18-year-old woman over a domestic dispute. He used a sharp machete while doing so.

The event was recorded in the district's Dalgram village of Kaliganj. Munwara Begum, the deceased, was a first-year higher secondary (HS) student at the Kaliganj Public Higher Secondary School. 

Partha Protim Das, the superintendent of police in Karimganj, said in a statement to the media, "We were notified about the recovery of a girl's body in the area, and as a result, I and my police team rushed to the spot. In relation to the matter, we have detained one Jaber Ahmed. The machete that was used in the incident has not yet been located.”
