Assam: Man Rapes And Kills 6-Year-Old Girl, Police Tracks Location

The episode took place on Tuesday at a tea garden in Sonitpur district.

GUWAHATI: Yet another horrifying episode came to light where a minor girl has been allegedly raped and killed by culprits at a tea garden in Assam. According to police sources, the incident took place in Sonitpur district on 14th of February, Tuesday. 

The victim minor was just six years old, and she was molested at a tea garden called Muhinipur tea garden which is located near Dhekiajuli. A case has been registered and concerned police department has launched an investigation to apprehend the culprits. Meanwhile, the six year old deceased’s body has been sent for an autopsy to carry on the investigation process. 

Fortunately, the additional Superintendent of police of Sonitpur district informed that, officials have already traced down the location of the accused, and he will soon be under the legal custody. The local people has appealed the district administration to arrest the evil headed as soon as possible and punish him accordingly. 

Recently, Guwahati police successfully nabbed a culprit who is under the charges of raping a 13 year old minor girl in the city. The episode took place in Guwahati’s Birubari area. The man has been identified as Diganta Das and was nabbed from Jalukbari area in the morning hours of 11th February, Saturday. After committing the heinous crime, Das was escaping from the law, however, he got caught.

Diganta Das is currently 49 years old, and the victim girl was a tenant in his residence, where she lived with her family. The incident took place earlier this week, when the accused molested the girl physically in the rented space. She was alone at the time of incident, as her parents were outside. The gruesome incident happened at Nizorapara area located in Guwahati’s Birubari.

As soon as the girl informed her parents about the happening, they immediately lodged a complaint against their landlord, Diganta Das. As per sources, Das warned them and asked to get out of the house after knowing about the complaint against him. Following the FIR, a team of police initiated an investigation and carried on the search for the accused.
