Assam Medical College and Hospital to celebrate Platinum Jubilee

DIBRUGARH: The Assam Medical College and Hospital (AMCH), the oldest and premier health and education institution in Northeast has drawn up an elaborate plan for the closing ceremony celebrations of its Platinum Jubilee, which the institution is celebrating this year. Addressing a press conference here, AMCH Principal and Chief Superintendent Dr Sanjeeb Kakati said a week-long programme has been chalked out by the Platinum Jubilee celebration Committee which commences on October 28.

Kakati informed that Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma will be the chief guest of the closing ceremony while a host of other union ministers and state ministers will be present. More than 2000 alumni had already registered their names to attend the celebration.

"We urged every alumni of the prestigious institution to enrol themselves through the official website https://platinumjubilee.amch.edu.in. We have planned many programmes for the celebration," Kakati said.

Kakati informed, "The events will be start from August 29 with Platinum Jubilee Bhaona-Gandharir Krishna Darshan. On September 5, Teachers Day function will be celebrated with felicitation of all living retired principals vice principals, Superintendents and Faculty of Assam Medical College."
