Kokrajhar: Kokrajhar Medical College & Hospital (KMCH) marked a significant milestone by hosting its first-ever day-long Continuing Medical Education Programme (CME), organized by the Department of Anatomy at KMCH. The event, themed “New Medical College: Opportunities & Challenges, from the Perspective of the Department of Anatomy,” aimed to foster collaborative discussions on the establishment of different departments in a new medical college.

The programme took place at the Administrative Building of KMCH, Kokrajhar. Distinguished guests in attendance included Principals from Nalbari Medical College, Dhubri Medical College, and Kokrajhar Medical College, alongside the Superintendent of Dhubri Medical College & Kokrajhar Medical College. The event also saw the participation of senior professors and faculties from various medical colleges of Assam. Key discussions revolved around strategizing the establishment of different departments in accordance with the National Medical Commission (NMC) guidelines.

Participants explored effective ways to prepare for the impending NMC inspection and ensure compliance with the Minimum Standards of Requirements set by the NMC. The CME served as a platform for exchanging insights and experiences among medical professionals, fostering a collaborative approach to address the challenges and opportunities presented by the inception of the new medical college.
