Assam: Mohet Hojai becomes chairman of 13th NC Hills Autonomous Council

Haflong: Mohet Hojai, has been elected as the chairperson of the 13th NC Hills Autonomous Council (NCHAC) at a special session in presence of all the 28 elected members on Sunday. On being elected unopposed new chairman, Hojai was felicitated by all the members and others with ‘Risa’. Hojai was elected unopposed as a Member of NC Hills Autonomous Council from Maibang West constituency in the election to the 13th NC Hills Autonomous Council held on January 8. Hojai was the Chief Executive Member and also the Executive Member of N C Hills Autonomous Council earlier.
After assuming office, Hojai, while expressing happiness on being elected unopposed, said that he was hopeful for new developments to take place in the district. He further said though it was a matter of great satisfaction but at the same time there were huge responsibilities to lead the district in the path of development with unity and integrity. He also appealed to his team along with others to work united for the betterment of the district as a whole.
