Guwahati: Assam Congress MP and the son of former chief minister Tarun Gogoi, Gaurav Gogoi, was recently blessed with his second child and it is a girl!
The MP, who represents the Kaliabor Lok Sabha Constituency in Upper Assam, announced the glad tidings via the micro-blogging site Twitter. Gaurav Gogoi and his wife, Elizabeth Colburn Gogoi, have decided to name the newest addition to their family as 'Maya.'
"Today God blessed my family with a girl. We are grateful for all the good wishes. Both our grandparents are extremely excited. Kabir's dream of being a big brother has finally come true. He and Maya have already made a strong and unique bond", the young Assam MP wrote in a post.
On November 8 in 2016, Gogoi became a father for the first time when he was blessed with a boy whom the couple named 'Kabir.'
Gogoi also shared some adorable pictures of the newborn baby on social media and Twitterati cannot seem to get enough of her! In one of the pictures shared by the Gogoi scion, the baby girl's elder brother Kabir can be witnessed sitting by her side and looking on in wonder at the cute little baby.
"Congratulations Gaurav! God bless her", wrote Rajasthan's young and dynamic Congress leader Sachin Pilot, while Zeeshan Siddique, the youngest MLA of Maharashtra, wrote, "Many congratulations to you and the entire family!"
The Assam MP, who is said to be one of the close confidants of former Congress President Rahul Gandhi, will arrive Guwahati after one week, one of his close associates revealed.
