Assam; National Cadets organize a special outreach programme

NCC Directorate North Eastern Region, as part of the celebration of the glorious 75 years of the National Cadets (NCC), has organized a special outreach programme through North Eastern Region Car Rally from November 6 to November 26.

LAKHIMPUR: NCC Directorate North Eastern Region, as part of the celebration of the glorious 75 years of the National Cadets (NCC), has organized a special outreach programme through North Eastern Region Car Rally from November 6 to November 26. The Car Rally was flagged off by Conrad K Sangma, the Chief Minister of Meghalaya on November 6. A total of 277 schools, 151 colleges, 44 districts, spanning across 6 States of the North Eastern Region have been taking part in the car rally. This car rally aims for sense of camaraderie, leadership, spirit of sportsmanship, spirit of adventure and imbibe the spirt of patriotism among the youth, inspiring them to uphold the values that NCC stands for, stated a press communique, issued by Anup Ralegaonkar, Colonel, Officer Commanding, the 72 Assam Girls (I) Coy NCC, North Lakhimpur.

The car rally will be passing through North Lakhimpur on November 15. The cadets of the 72 Assam Girls (I) Coy NCC, North Lakhimpur will organize a brief cultural programme on that day at Lakhimpur Girls College in this connection. The NCC unit has appealed to all concerned to attend the cultural programme and flagging off ceremony will be held at Lakhimpur Girls College from 11.30 am on that designated day to boost the morale of the NCC cadets.
