Assam: National Human Rights and Crime Control Bureau protests against Manipur violence

JAMUGURIHAT: A candlelight vigil programme was organized by the National Human Rights and Crime Control Bureau Assam on Sunday evening in many districts of the State. The NHRCCB had got strong support from various prominent organizations including AASU, AJYCP, Vishwa Hindu Maha Sangh, Warrior NGO, and Mahalia Samity Tinsukia in the main programme which was taken place at Zero Point (Thana Chariali), Tinsukia.

The objective of the programme was to express solidarity and raise voice against the recent tragic incident in Manipur. The NHRCCB gathered at the designated location to honour the memory of the victims and to condemn any form of violence and human rights violations. The candlelight vigil allowed the organization to come together as a united community to stand against injustice and express deepest condolences to the affected families.

During the programme, the attendees observed a moment of silence to pay respects to the lives lost and to symbolize the commitment for promoting peace, harmony, and respect for human rights. Various speakers from the participating organizations addressed the crowd, highlighting the importance of fostering a society based on tolerance, understanding, and empathy.
