DULIAJAN: The Junior Division National Cadet.Corps (NCC) troops of Delhi Public School Duliajan successfully participated in The Combined Annual Training Camp of 10 Assam Bn which was held at Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya (JNV), Doomar Dollong for a period of 10 days, from 22nd to 31st May, 2023.
The Combined Annual Training (CATC) is a 10 Day combined training camp for NCC cadets like SD, SW, JD, JW which is held within the state. This Annual Training Camp aims to introduce the cadets to a regimented way of life and helps in developing camaraderie, team work, leadership qualities and self-confidence among the cadets and it is also a platform where the cadets get chances to learn various subjects such as drill, weapon training, map reading, first aid, adventure, self-defence, military history, physical fitness, field craft and battle craft.
The participating team comprised of 13 Junior Wing cadets and ANO Sri Hitesh Kotoky. A total of 399 cadets from 12 schools participated in this event. By attending this camp cadets of DPS Duliajan fulfilled one of the three basic requirements to appear for the ‘A’ certificate examination. The cadets of this school distinguished themselves by active participation in all camp activities and showed remarkable discipline andadaptability.
There were various competitions organised in which the cadets won as many 5 prizes. CDT Sanya Shrestha Deori and CDT Pranami Saikia secured 2nd and 3rd position respectively in Solo Song competition, whereas CDT Mayukha Choudhury won 2nd position in Debate competition also CDT Pranami Saikia and CDT Mayukha Choudhury were adjudged as the best anchors.
The NCC wing of DPS Duliajan, ever since its establishment in the year 2007, has been successfully providing opportunities for all round development and holistic growth to the students with a sense of commitment,dedication and duty towards our motherland. All the cadets were awarded with camp completion certificate at the end.
