Assam: New building of Batori Butala Parijat Sangha inaugurated

Lakhimpur MLA Manab Deka inaugurated the newly constructed building of the Batori Butala Parijat Sangha, a pioneer socio-cultural institution located at Salal Gaon under Madhya Telahi Gaon Panchayat under the Telahi Development Block of Lakhimpur district, on Sunday.

LAKHIMPUR: Lakhimpur MLA Manab Deka inaugurated the newly constructed building of the Batori Butala Parijat Sangha, a pioneer socio-cultural institution located at Salal Gaon under Madhya Telahi Gaon Panchayat under the Telahi Development Block of Lakhimpur district, on Sunday.

The building was constructed with an investment of Rs 15 lakh sanctioned under the Untied Fund 2021–22 and a fund donated by a host of well-wishers. In connection with the inauguration of the Sangha building, a public meeting was organised in the Sangha auditorium under the chairmanship of retired teacher Suren Dutta. The agenda of the meeting began with the lighting of the ceremonial lamp by Sangha adviser Manik Saikia. It was followed by a prayer performed by the Moinas of Batori Butala Moina Parijat. The former president of the Batori Butala Parijat, Sangha Prasanta Bhuyan, delivered the welcome address at the meeting. In his lecture, MLA Manab Deka highlighted the developmental schemes implemented in Lakhimpur LAC to bring change to the constituency and make it beautiful. He also shed light on the developmental activities undertaken and implemented across the state during the term of Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma. He reiterated that the incumbent government is committed to ensuring all-round development in Assam.
