Assam: Officers appointed for two non-Sadar sub-districts of Darrang

Following the creation of two non-Sadar sub-districts in Darrang, namely Sipajhar and Dalgaon taking the areas of both the LACs along with 78 Sub Districts/ Sub Divisions in the State as per the approval of the Cabinet and subsequent notification issued by the GAD, the State Government vide an order on October 19 has appointed two Additional District Commissioners and two Assistant Commissioners.

MANGALDAI: Following the creation of two non-Sadar sub-districts in Darrang, namely Sipajhar and Dalgaon taking the areas of both the LACs along with 78 Sub Districts/ Sub Divisions in the State as per the approval of the Cabinet and subsequent notification issued by the General Administrative Department (GAD), the State Government vide an order on October 19 has appointed two Additional District Commissioners and two Assistant Commissioners.

Additional District Commissioners of Darrang Upasana Dutta and Navadeep Changmai have been appointed as the Additional District Commissioners of Sipajhar and Dalgaon Sub District. Similarly, Assistant Commissioners of Darrang Ihsanul Hussain and Uddipta Gautam have also been appointed as Assistant Commissioners in Sipajhar and Dalgaon Sub Districts.

Talking to The Sentinel, District Commissioner of Darrang, Munindra Nath Ngatey said that both the non-Sadar Sub Districts in Darrang would be functional from January 1, 2024. “The district administration has already taken the initiative for accommodating both the newly-created administrative offices with required staff,” said District Commissioner Munindra Nath Ngatey.
