On Friday night, a road accident in Assam's Karbi Anglong district resulted in two fatalities and two injuries. The event was claimed to have occurred on Bokajan's National Highway No. 31 when the car the victims were riding in slammed into a roadside tree at a high rate of speed.

The two people who passed away were named Suruj Ali and Itka Yeptu. It has been discovered that the car was traveling from Nagaland to Dimapur. Later, when local police arrived on the scene, they removed the bodies for postmortem.

The two hurt people, meanwhile, were taken to a local hospital for treatment.

Up to six individuals perished in a horrific traffic accident last month in the Ri Bhoi district of Meghalaya after their car was struck by a truck. The incident happened in Sumer, Meghalaya, when a cement-carrying truck collided with a Bolero carrying the victims.

At Sumer in Meghalaya, the cement-laden truck's driver lost control of the wheel as it was traveling towards Guwahati. The truck struck the divider and veered into the opposing lane, striking a Bolero that was approaching from the opposite direction.

According to reports, the accident in Meghalaya claimed the lives of all six people inside the car, including the driver and three nuns from a missionary school headquartered in Bongaigaon, Assam.
