Assam: One Japanese Encephalitis case detected in Demow

DEMOW: A person named Sanjit Chetia (57), a resident of Demow Konwar Dehingia Gaon was found positive for Japanese Encephalitis (JE) few days ago and is undergoing treatment in a private Hospital in Dibrugarh. According to Health sources, Sanjit Chetia was having fever on July 5 and was taken to Demow Model Hospital for treatment. There after Sanjit Chetia was taken to Dibrugarh for better treatment. After conducting tests, it was found that Sanjit Chetia was suffering from Japanese Encephalitis (JE). Precautionary measures were taken in the area by the health officials.
