JAMUGURIHAT: Rupak Hazarika, a resident of Balichang in the northern part of Sootea, succumbed to injury when his motorcycle was hit by a speeding dumper at Towbhanga on NH-15 under Jamuguri police station on Wednesday afternoon. According to information, Rupak Hazarika was an employee of the military force. He was returning home with his friend Nripen Hazarika from the CSD canteen located at Lokra. Their ill-fated motorcycle was unfortunately hit by a dumper from behind. Rupak Hazarika died on the spot while pillion rider Nripen Hazarika sustained serious injury and was taken to North Jamuguri BPHC for medical treatment.
