Assam: Orang National Park and Tiger Reserve to reopen from Oct 1

MANGALDAI: Orang National Park and Tiger Reserve (ONPTR)- the habitat of more than 128 one-horned rhinos and 30 Royal Bengal Tigers, besides other wildlife species, will ceremonially be reopened for tourists and visitors from October 1.

Informing this to The Sentinel, Divisional Forest Officer of Mangaldai Wildlife Division, Pradipta Barua said that in presence of wildlife activists, staff, media persons and villagers of the fringe areas, the Park will be reopened for this season. However, the Park will be closed for tourists and visitors every Monday.
