Assam: Orientation programme held at Dibrugarh University

A three-day orientation programme for programme officers belonging to various NSS units at colleges affiliated to Dibrugarh University was inaugurated on Tuesday at Dibrugarh University by the Vice Chancellor in-charge, Prof. Jahnabi Gogoi in the presence of Prof. Surajit Borkotokey, Dean, Student Affairs, Dibrugarh University and Prof. Devid Kardong, Programme Coordinator, NSS Cell, Dibrugarh University.

DIBRUGARH: A three-day orientation programme for programme officers belonging to various NSS units at colleges affiliated to Dibrugarh University was inaugurated on Tuesday at Dibrugarh University by the Vice Chancellor in-charge, Prof. Jahnabi Gogoi in the presence of Prof. Surajit Borkotokey, Dean, Student Affairs, Dibrugarh University and Prof. Devid Kardong, Programme Coordinator, NSS Cell, Dibrugarh University.

Both Prof. Gogoi and Prof. Borkotokey underlined the importance of NSS in general and the orientation programme in particular.

Prof. Kardong called upon all the attendees to make the best of the orientation programme. Around 35 programme officers who have been newly appointed or who have not yet attended any orientation programme attended the programme.

The orientation programme was organized by the NSS Cell, Dibrugarh University in association with NSS PG Unit, Dibrugarh University. The vote of thanks was given by Dr. Himadri Barman, Assistant Programme Coordinator, NSS Cell, Dibrugarh University.

Dr. Amar Upadhyaya, Senior Programme Officer of the NSS PG Unit, Dibrugarh University is overseeing the orientation programme. There are 125 NSS units under the administrative supervision of the NSS Cell, Dibrugarh University.
