Assam: 'Pathaan' Posters Burned By Bajrang Dal In Narengi

According to sources, the movie poster was torn down by the activists, who then set it ablaze. which videos are being shared on social media.

GUWAHATI: In Guwahati's Narengi, Bajrang Dal activists were seen destroying Pathaan posters amid widespread protests against the Shahrukh Khan-starring movie. The Bajrang Dal activists invaded the Gold Cinema at LG Tower in Narengi on Friday night to demonstrate against the movie that is set to come out next week, however, the protests there were not as severe as they were in other areas of the nation.

The movie poster was torn down by the activists, who then set it ablaze. which videos are being shared on social media. While destroying the posters, the protesters can be heard yelling Jai Shree Ram slogans. Some of them even made their way into the movie theatre and removed further posters.

Despite the area being densely inhabited and having an appropriate police presence, some locals claimed that no police officers were there when the alleged vandalism occurred. The Siddharth Anand-directed film Pathaan, starring Shah Rukh Khan, Deepika Padukone, and John Abraham, will be released on January 25, 2023. The action show will be released in Telugu, Tamil, and Hindi.

Following the debut of the first song, Besharam Rang, the movie has been in the news. People who found it offensive criticized the clothing and colour choices, notably Deepika's saffron swimsuit. Shah Rukh Khan and Deepika were pictured having a romantic beachside encounter in the song.

Shah Rukh Khan was asked to comment on Deepika Padukone's portrayal from the movie Pathaan in a recent video that Yash Raj Films released. You need someone of Deepika's stature to be able to carry off a song sequence like Besharam Rang, the actor claimed.

As Pathaan embarks on a mission to eliminate him, the antagonist John Abraham leads a terrorist organization against India and Shah Rukh. Shah Rukh joins hands with Deepika, another soldier. On January 25, the movie will be released. It will be Shah Rukh's first major motion picture in more than four years. In Ayan Mukerji's Brahmastra, Shah Rukh made a lengthy cameo appearance (2022).
