The Industries and Commerce Minister, Chandra Mohan Patowary had tweeted:

Industries and Commerce Minister, Chandra Mohan Patowary had said that this collaboration with SIDBI will bring all the MSMEs of the state to the formal, organised sector. He had asked SIDBI to create awareness of its microfinancing system for the benefit of the people.

He had also stressed on SIDBI's handholding support to the indigenous entrepreneurs working in sectors like bamboo, bell metal, japi etc. He said that with such an initiative, Assam could be 'atmanirbhar' in the true sense of the term.

Commissioner and Secretary, Dr KK Dwivedi said that this arrangement will accelerate the development of the MSME sector in the state.
