Assam Police Apprehended Four Drug Peddlers in Tinsukia

In a major breakthrough, Assam police on Friday arrested four peddlers from Tinsukia, Assam, and recovered heroin, cocaine, and cash of around Rs 1,99,000

Tinsukia: Tinsukia police, led by probationer DSP Hemanta Boro, made a major breakthrough in drug trafficking after four peddlers fell into the police trap at Makum in an operation on Friday.

The arrested drug peddlers are Dhanjyoti Dangoria, Dakhanta Duarah, Biduban Baruah and Dipak Borah. Police recovered heroin, cocaine, and a cash of Rs 1,99,000 besides huge objectionable items like bank passbooks and eight mobile phones from their procession. With several allegations of trafficking against them, the police had been trailing the activities of these peddlers for a long time.
