Assam Police apprehends eight persons over broad daylight armed robbery

After massive search operations following a daylight armed robbery, a team of Tinsukia Sadar Police apprehended eight miscreants from different locations of Tinsukia and Dibrugarh districts within 48 hours of the incident.

TINSUKIA: After massive search operations following a daylight armed robbery, a team of Tinsukia Sadar Police apprehended eight miscreants from different locations of Tinsukia and Dibrugarh districts within 48 hours of the incident.

The arrested dacoits are Lakhi Khaund (29) of Chabua Chetia Pathar, Ditul Das (27) of Baruaholla Panitola, Keshab Gogoi alias Nana (23) of Bogdung Bharalua gaon, Bhaskar Jyoti Gogoi(27) of Balijan Siding, Manas Pratim Gogoi (29) and Pranjal Gogoi (27) of Niz Chabua, Sanju Gupta (30) of Railway Gate Chariali, and Chandan Churiwalla (37) of Parbotia Tinsukia.

The police team was led by the OC (Officer-in-Charge) Biren Baruah and TSI Bhaskar Jyoti Phukan.

On April 30, these robbers committed robbery in the house of Bhimraj Agarwal of Chaliha Nagar in Tinsukia. Following complaint, the Police registered a case (589/21) in this regard. The prompt action of the police has been lauded and widely appreciated.
