Assam: Police Arrest Fake Forest Officer In Dhubri District With Nepalese Currency

The three accused are identified as Ajab Singh, a resident of Baduwa, Uttar Pradesh, Akhir Hussain, and Hanif Miyan, residents of South Salmara district.

Dhubri: The Dhubri Police on Sunday apprehended a fake forest officer along with two others for allegedly indulging in an anti-social work.

As per reports, the police also seized one bike without a number plate, bogus identity cards, and Nepalese currency.

The reports further claimed that they were roaming suspiciously in front of the official residence of the forest officer, when the Dhubri Police nabbed them,

The three accused are identified as Ajab Singh (Fake Forest officer), a resident of Baduwa, Uttar Pradesh, Akhir Hussain, and Hanif Miyan, residents of South Salmara district.

Recently on September 8, the Guwahati Police arrested a fake doctor practising at Gauhati Medical College and Hospital (GMCH).

As per reports, the arrested person has allegedly forged an identity card of GMCH, wherein, it was stated that he practised as a doctor at the hospital.

The matter came to light when a relative of a patient smelled following which he complained to the hospital authorities. Later, he was caught by GMCH hospital authorities at a ward in the hospital and was handed over to the police.

Reportedly, the apprehended person identified has also tempered official documents in the name of Dr Pranabjyoti along with the fake ID card.

As per forged documents, he was listed as an assistant professor at the institute. However, the official signature on the ID card didn't belong to any issuing officials of GMCH.

Authorities also informed that the accused had also claimed that he had worked at the premier All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS).
