Assam: Police Arrest Female Model For Alleged Links With Militant Outfit KLO

The model name came to light when police were investigating a shooting incidents where a businessmen named Sunil Mandal got injured after unidentified miscreants fired at him.

Kokrajhar: The Assam Police has nabbed a female model for her alleged connections with the banned militant outfit, Kamatapur Liberation Organisation (KLO).

As per reports, the female model identified as Nabaneeta Barman Bothra, and her husband named Bikash Bothra, including four others were apprehended by the police from Assam's Kokrajhar district.

The model name came to light when police were investigating a shooting incident where a businessman named Sunil Mandal got injured after unidentified miscreants fired at him.

Later, during the investigation, it came to the fore that a few days ago, the KLO militant had demanded Rs 2 lakh from the Mandal. Subsequently, the police arrested two KLO militants on Sunday evening, and during interrogation, they provide some input to the police.

Acting on those inputs, the police nabbed the female model and her husband.

According to reports, police stated that Nabaneeta Barman Bothra is a close relative of KLO commander Parthapratim Barman.
