Assam Police Rescues Minor Girl from Ziro in Arunachal

The minor girl was kidnapped from Tamarhat area, Dhubri, by three men, who are identified as Abdul Manan Sk, Baten Sk alias Sapiul and Naser Ali.

 Guwahati: In a successful operation, the Assam Police rescued a minor girl from Ziro, Arunachal Pradesh. The minor girl was kidnapped by three by three miscreants, who belonged to Tamarhat area of Assam's Dhubri district. The girl was rescued by a special team of Dhubri Police, in just 24 hours of filing the FIR.

The special team of police also arrested the three accused, who were related to the abduction case. The accused have been identified as Abdul Manan Sk, Baten Sk alias Sapiul and Naser Ali.

Last year, in October, the Northeast Frontier Railway (NFR) rescued a minor girl from being kidnapped in Guwahati. Railway personnel stated that she was found accompanied by 3 suspicious-looking men on October 14, the accused were immediately detained by the police. The girl, in her statement, revealed she was kidnapped on the night of October 12 and that she hails from Basantpur, Barpeta along with her name. Further investigation helped discover that her family had already lodged an FIR at the Alopatti Char Police. The apprehended persons and the rescued girl were handed over to Assam Police for legal actions.

The three kidnappers were identified as - Azidul Hoque (19 yrs), Mijanur Rahman (22 yrs, elder brother of Azidul Hoque) and Idrish Ali (32 yrs)- hail from Barpeta. The kidnappers admitted that they were planning to make an escape to Kerala by train along with the minor girl.

In the same month, the Biswanath police managed to recover four women along with a minor girl from Uttar Pradesh.
