HOJAI: Acting on a tip-off, Murajhar Police led by Officer in-charge Kabir Singh Limboo, on Thursday seized a cattle-laden truck at Ganipur bazar in Doboka area under Hojai district.
As per sources, the truck bearing registration number AS11 CC 8011 was on its way to Meghalaya from Ganipur and the 23 cattle in the truck were supposed to be smuggled to Bangladesh from there. The drivers and the helpers, however, managed to escape from the spot. Further investigation is on.
