Assam: President Ram Nath Kovind To Attend 61st Session of Bodo Sahitya Sabha Tomorrow

Urkhao Gwra Brahma said that this is the first time in the history of Bodo Sahitya Sabha that the President of India will attend the session of Bodo Sahitya Sabha.

Tamulpur: President Ram Nath Kovind will be on a tour of Assam on Monday, where he will attend the 61st session of Bodo Sahitya Sabha to be held in Tamulpur district.

As per reports, this session will continue till May 4 and the preparations for the 61st session of the Bodo Sahitya Sabha are going on in full swing and the organizers are ready to welcome more than one lakh people during the session.

On this occasion, Assam Handlooms and Textiles Minister Urkhao Gwra Brahma said that this is the first time in the history of Bodo Sahitya Sabha that the President of India will attend the session of Bodo Sahitya Sabha.

''The welcome committee is now fully prepared to welcome more than 1 lakh people. This year the session is focused on 'Stop wasting food'. The representatives of Bodo Sahitya Sabha will be around 4,000-5,000,'' ANI quoted him as saying.

''We are trying to make all arrangements to make this year's Bodo Sahitya Sabha session a success. This year we have taken a vow, trying to spread the message of 'Stop wasting food','' he said.

The Bodo Sahitya Sabha was established in 1952 and is working for the development of literature, culture and language. It is playing a leading role in maintaining coordination between different ethnic groups.

Bodo Sahitya Sabha is preparing more than 40,000 scientific and technical words in Bodo language.
