GUWAHATI: According to reports that surfaced on Wednesday, a railway worker in Goalpara, Assam, died immediately after being struck by a train.
The terrible situation took place while the employee was working at Dudhnoi Train Station, according to sources. The deceased has been identified as Dipankar Gowala.
As soon as the information was sent, a team of police arrived at the spot and recovered the body.
A personnel of the Railway Protection Force (RPF) died at the Dibrugarh Railway Station. The incident took place on the night of Friday.
According to the Government Railway Police, the deceased was identified as Havildar Dhankumar Hajong who was working for the Railway Protection Force and posted in Dibrugarh. The incident took place at around 8:45 PM on Friday.
The authorities mentioned that the prima facie of the incident that took place in the old railway station of Dibrugarh hints that this is an accident, but the exact details will be revealed only by the investigation is completed.
“The body has been sent to Assam Medical College for the post-mortem examination. And we are further probing the incident,” mentioned Mrinal Deka, the Sub-Inspector of Government Railway Police in Dibrugarh.
Reports mentioned that the victim came under what is being speculated by the Rajdhani Express as it is expected to be the only train leaving from the old railway station in Dibrugarh. Officials with the railway department, as well as the police department, arrived at the sport soon after people noticed the mortal remains.
In net another incident, a school teacher perished in a two-wheeler accident in the Kachua region of Nagaon. According to local reports, Muksadur Rahman was involved in a road accident on Saturday.
