GUWAHATI: Ramen Chakraborty, distinguished citizen of Guwahati city breathed his last at a private hospital. Ramen Chakraborty was the editor of “Ishan-Darpan” newspaper and “Haritage Explore” till his last breath. A lifelong true servant of the ‘Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh’ was fighting his last battle in a hospital in Guwahati after an accident for 11 days. He was one of the pillars of the establishment of Shankar Netralaya in Beltola, and Nemcare Hospital in Bhavnagar, Guwahati. Ramen Chakraborty’s departure will always be considered an irreparable loss to Assam. Chakraborty’s demise has cast a pall of gloom in the intellectual circles of Assam. Ramen Chakraborty served as a visionary Principal of ITI Nalbari, Diphu, Jorhat and Birubari of Guwahati.
