GAURISAGAR: Birendra Nath Das, a resident of GaurisagarNaamdang Silar Saku village, retired ONGC official and a social worker passed away on Tuesday evening at Sivasagar ONGC Hospital due to prolonged illness. He was 75.
He had been suffering from ailment since long and was undergoing treatment in the hospital. His demise was widely mourned in the entire Gaurisagar area. He was the founder secretary of GaurisagarNaamdang Silar Saku BornaamgharRaaxMahutsavUdjapan Samiti, founder executive member of NGO Krishak Nyas, and also held various posts in various other organizations. He is survived by his wife and two sons.
