Assam Rifles COVID warriors donate plasma to Silchar Medical College and Hospital

After BSF COVID-19 warriors of Mizoram-Cachar Frontier, five brave and valiant jawans of 37 Assam Rifles

SILCHAR: After BSF COVID-19 warriors of Mizoram-Cachar Frontier, five brave and valiant jawans of 37 Assam Rifles based at Kadamtala have come forward voluntarily to donate plasma to Silchar Medical College and Hospital (SMCH) on Monday, upholding the high spirit and tradition of the Force as the 'Friends of people of northeast.' During their treatment, they have come to understand the importance of plasma in saving the life of COVID-19 patients in particular.

The seven warrior donors who gave their plasma to SMCH under the aegis of Inspector General Assam Rifles East are S Mali, Ibomida, D S Jamaita, A Koch, Rajendar Jakhar, M B Singh and S P Lakhra, all between 30 to 40 years of age. The district administration and the health department of Cachar have commended their donations as a mark of humanity and humanism.
