Assam Rifles holds free medical camp in Cachar district

SILCHAR: The Kadamtala Battalion of Assam Rifles under the aegis of Headquarters 21 Sector Assam Rifles and Inspector General Assam Rifles East organised a medical camp as part of 'Operation Sadbhavna' at village Shantipur, Cachar district on Saturday. A total of 332 villagers from Shantipur and adjoining villages were provided free medicines and health check-ups, besides necessary medical advice. Medical team with nursing staff from the civil administration and Assam Rifles extended all possible help.

The free medical camp organised by Assam Rifles came in for high appreciation from the rural folk who hardly get the benefits of their health updates and the advice from attending doctors and their assistants for living better life. In chorus, villagers demanded more such medical camps. Assam Rifles without mincing any words is really the friends of people in hours of need. Their social and human works well organised and disciplined have always come for accolades.
