JAMUGURIHAT: Assam Rifles organized a lecture on ‘Rain Water Harvesting’ at Charduar Hall, Battalion Headquarters, Lokra, Sonitpur district on Friday. The aim of the lecture on rainwater harvesting was to educate people about the importance of collecting and storing rainwater for various purposes like reducing water scarcity, conserving water resources and promoting sustainable practices for a greener environment. The lecture also covered different techniques, benefits and implementation strategies for rainwater harvesting systems. The initiative taken by Assam Rifles was highly appreciated by the local youths and villagers. The event was attended by 35 villagers from Lokra Village with full zeal and enthusiasm.
