JAMUGURIHAT: Assam Rifles, under HQ Inspector General Assam Rifles (East), organized a tree plantation drive with the locals of Lokra village under Sonitpur on Sunday.
The aim of the event is to create a positive impact on the environment, promote sustainable practices and involve communities in nurturing and protecting the natural world for present and future generations. During the event, plantation activity was carried out to spread awareness among the whole community about protection of the environment and contributing to restoring the ecosystem. The event was attended by 36 personnel and 39 villagers with full zeal and enthusiasm.
