GUWAHATI: A tragic accident took place in Assam’s Goroimara town on Thursday, where a man died on spot and three other individuals received grievous injuries. The accident occurred as a result of head on collision between two two wheeler motorbikes.
The deceased man has been identified as Mizanur Rahman. As per sources, the incident began when two bikes came in collision with one another at a high speed at Nagarbera area, which is located near Goroimara town.
As a result of the collision, the vehicle along with the passengers skidded into a river bank. One person died on spot and three other people were injured in the happening. The injured ones has been identified as Mahidul Islam, Afzal Haque and Piyar Ali.
Local people gathered in the spot and rushed the injured people to Guwahati medical college and hospital (GMCH). As soon as the information was received by local police, a team of cops arrived at the location and recovered the body of the deceased. Later, the body was sent for an autopsy.
Recently, during Saraswati Puja and R Day celebrations, two school girls lost their lives as a result of a tragic accident that took place in Assam’s Dhubri district. Along with the deceased girls, five individuals received severe injuries. The deceased victims were identified as Nirmali Rai who was only 16 years old and Shivangi Rai of 14 years.
The accident occurred when the vehicle they were travelling in, came into a collision with a truck. When both the vehicles came into a head on collision, two motorbikes parked on the road, also got damaged. The episode occurred on 26th of January, Thursday at the GTB road in Dhubri district.
The car which hit the truck was approaching towards Gauripur, bearing registration number AS-17J-5224. Locals hurriedly gathered in the spot of incident and rescued the injured victims and shifted them to a nearby hospital for medical attention. Police informed that, amongst them two girls were critically as a result of which they died on their way to the hospital.
